I AM SOPHIE WOLAK,TRAINNED FRENCH PASTRY CHEF LIVING IN EDINBURGH SINCE 2011 AND SUGAR IS MY LIFE.
WHEN I WAS A CHILD, I USED TO SPEND HOURS WATCHING MY SWEET MAMIE COOKING, SHE USED TO BE A CHEF BEFORE TO BECOME FULL TIME AMAZING GRANNY.
TO WALK IN HER FOOTSTEPS, I STARTED AN APPRENTICESHIP AT 15 YEARS OLD, THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE, COOKING AND BAKING IS IN MY BLOOD. DURING MY SCOLARSHIP I WAS ASK TO CHOOSE BETWEEN COOKING OR PASTRY , AS I WAS NEVER BEEN ABLE TO PICK (I LOVE BOTH LIKE MY MAMIE) I WORKED HARDER AND HARDER TO BE ABLE TO BE BOTH, CHEF AND PASTRY CHEF.
I WORKED MOSTLY IN HIGH END AND MICHELIN STAR RESTAURANTS
AFTER GRADUATING CHEF SCHOOL WITH HONORS AND AWARDED AS ONE OF THE BEST APPRENTICE OF FRANCE, I MOVED TO IRELAND AND A LITTLE WHILE AFTER THAT SCOTLAND, WHERE I MET MY HUSBAND AND STARTED A FAMILY. WE HAVE TWO CHILDREN.. THEY LOVE TO WATCH ME COOK AND BAKE AND LISTEN ALL ABOUT THEIR GRAND NANA.
I LOVE TO THINK HOW TO CREATE SOMETHING TASTY AND HOW IT WILL LIGHT UP PEOPLE'S EYES AND TASTEBUDS, EVEN IF IT IS JUST WITH A CRUMB.
